You would be a person proficient in:
- One or more enterprise grade SQL Database systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL or another)
- Data model design and analysis
- SQL scripting (PL/SQL, Transact-SQL or similar SQL flavors)
- Stored procedures and query optimization
- Schema migrations and impact analysis
- RDBMS deployment and troubleshooting
- Data migrations and data partitioning
We would consider it a PLUS if you have experience with:
- Data Warehouse / Big Data solutions in Azure or AWS
- Hadoop or Spark in production (incl. in the cloud)
- NoSQL database development and operation
In this role you will:
- Design and develop enterprise-grade database solutions on Oracle, Azure SQL or PostgreSQL
- Analyze query performance, write and optimize queries and stored procedures
- Help design large-scale data models and storage architectures for distrubuted cloud systems
- Collaborate with other engineers for optimal system architecture, cloud deployment and maintenance
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code while adhering to team’s coding guidelines and quality standards
- Perform and participate in code reviews, architecture design and technical research
- Investigate technical issues, find and fix bugs, improve the performance and responsiveness of the apps you develop
- Write product documentation, blog posts, architecture design documents and other internal and user-facing technical documentation
